Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including payroll-related matters, allowances, and employee benefits.
- Lead and coordinate talent acquisition and recruitment activities, including manpower planning, candidate sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
- Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance to employees and Management on HR-related issues, policies, and workplace concerns.
- Oversee the performance management process, including probation reviews, performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and follow-up actions.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in accordance with Company objectives and applicable labour regulations.
- Plan and coordinate employee onboarding, training, and development programs to support employee growth and organizational needs.
- Monitor and analyze HR data and key metrics, including employee turnover, absenteeism, recruitment effectiveness, and manpower costs, and provide recommendations to Management.
- Develop and implement employee engagement, retention, welfare, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Ensure HR practices, processes, and documentation comply with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and Company policies.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to HR team members and monitor their performance and development.
- Prepare HR reports, analysis, and recommendations to support Management in manpower planning and HR-related decision-making.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Coordinate quarterly and annual employee performance review processes and ensure timely completion of required actions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Support initiatives to improve employees' job knowledge, capabilities, and overall performance.
- Promote a productive workplace culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee HR administrative processes and ensure timely and accurate completion of HR-related activities.
- Support employee engagement activities, welfare programs, and Company events.
- Provide clerical and administrative support for HR-related matters when required.
- Assist in reviewing HR processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with experience in a senior or supervisory HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and training & development.
- Good understanding of Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to handle confidential employee matters professionally and independently.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive).
- Experience with HR software or payroll systems is an advantage.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
